Topic Dog Boards / Showing / Does a first at Champ Show (no CC's) qualify for Crufts?

Hi, new to Showing and looking for clarification. Recently my young dog came first in our class at Champ Show, but no CC's were on offer for our breed.  Today I was told that we were now qualified for Cruft's which I didn't know.  Is that true? If so we are going to need a hell of a lot of Ringcraft!

Does your breed have CC's?  If not, and it is one of the 'rare' breeds (see list here) then yes you have qualified!  Well done :)

Don't some of those breeds have CC's now DAB? Finnish Lapphunds do i'm sure of it.

If your breed has CC's in this country then no.

Thanks for the clarification, we are not a rare breed and do have CC's on offer in England, so not qualified.  Oh well, have to work on it, and do have a couple of Ch Shows coming up, in between Open Shows. Desperate for my ringcraft classes to start up again, have been closed for 2 months, so I have been winging it - my and my trusty Clicker i.e.
