If you have used up a whole tube and the ulcer has not improved I would think you need to see the vet again to reassess treatment. Was no follow up arranged?

My vet usually gives me one tube then I go back and I get 2 more tubes ( I just call down usually so no need for another app) and that seems to do the trick on T-Bone. Her ulcers usually takes a long time to clear up. I find the sab works better then the drops. The other option if it don't clear up is to have the eye scraped. I have not done this b4 and always decide to do the sab for a longer period of time. It did take almost 3 months to clear up but was worth the early mornings. Nothing like having to put stuff in the eye for times a day- luckily hubby don't work far from home.
Def go back to the vet and maybe ask for a couple of tubes- better to have some left over then not enough... I feel for you those ulcers are a real pain...

I've had a Boxer who has had eye ulcers,we have always taken him to the vets at any sign of anything untoward,as a ulcer if not kept a eye on it ( pardon the pun)can so quickly change into a melting ulcer, this will then take so much longer to heal so go to the vets and have your dogs rests bed to check the healing process then the vet can give you the extra ointment good luck x

Just phone the Vet for a repeat prescription.

Thank you Amanda I will get some in , I have just looked it up and sounds like it could come in handy :)
I've used golden eye for other things but was reccommended for an ulcer as well. Coliodial silver is good for daily bathing to keep things at bay and help keep clean. It has good healing properties.
