my bitch is due a booster around the time i hopefully will be having pups from her she will either be just a couple of weeks into pregnancy if her season is on time, do you think it will be safe enough to give her the booster or should i just leave it till the pups are born and weaned, i can't remember if i read somewhere that it had caused pregnancies to abort when given the booster not sure if i read it or just a rumour so thought i would ask anyone had a booster done when bitch in whelp

I asked the same question of my Vet a few years ago and he said wait until pups are born and weaned and then have her booster done.

My vet said they wouldn't booster when in whelp, I had to wait until the pups were weaned.

Boostering at this time may interfere withy the maternal antibody protection the pups receive from Mum, so these days not advised.

I didn't give my girl her boosters.Will wait until pups have left for their new homes,and the bitch is fully over her experience.
