Whats a troll ?---I know its something not nice but I just need something clearing up .It has been refered to in posting after mine -does that mean people think I'm one ? thanks
confused liz

It is the Usenet name for someone who just appears on newsgroups or forums and posts things simply to wind up the locals :D
If you feed the trolls (in other words answer their posts) then you run the risk of them moving in and staying because you are feeding their nasty little habits :)

Hi Melody
Does that make Heidi (DOGS) a Troll?

Nicky

Well she appeared to have troll like tendancies at first ..but is settling down a bit now ...I think it was more a case of being unwise rather than anything else
:)

Hi Melody
Does that mean no one has found out who she is and that we're not going to run a book on who she really is?

Do I detect a note of paranoia running through the forum at the moment ;-)

Sounds more like disapointment on Nicky's part, Leigh :) :)
Hoping for some cash perhaps? ;) :D :D :D

Well, I am dissapointed!
After all that fun we're no closer to the identity!

I expected to come on today and find a thread titled *DOGS - revealed* or something.

Definately not a troll Liz :p :D, although why an image of Jade saying "Do you think I'm minging?" swung into my head I don't know :D :D :D

More than a note Lol :D
Read somewhere onc e that just because your paranoid, doesn't mean they're not out to get you! :D :D

That's one of hubby's favorite sayings from playing D&D too many times  :D

D[$D .. that's a blast from the past ]-)

Well, he's pretty much left it behind since he prefers suiting up in Armour and beating people profusly about the head with "swords" and "axes" --- Rattan Bamboo wrapped up with duct tape. And yes, if the padding isn't right, it can break limbs and/or leave nasty bruises.
He had to pick one, so he chose the real "blast from the past" ;) :D :D :D His goal is to go to the huge Armour museum at Leeds one of these days

LOL@Sara. I used to turn a pretty penny painting D&D 'figures' for gamers and model shops alike. My dragons and semi naked, 'armoured' women were quite sort after at one time :D
By eoghania
Date 26.09.02 14:06 UTC
They're still popular, too  He still likes painting the pewter figures for Warhammer etc... as "relaxation" :)
Hey, have you thought of going to work for "Enchantica"? -- British company that USED to have well painted "fantasy" figurines of Unicorns, dragons, etc.... Now they're heavy brushed and hard coloured :( :( :( I know you could do much better. You're artsy ;) :) :) :)

I used to find it very relaxing too Sara .. and getting paid to 'relax' was even better :D
To be honest, I'm not sure that I have the time to take it up again at present. I also prefer to do 'one off' figures and I'm not sure if I could paint 'en mass'. I liked the flexibility, of taking a figure and making it up as my mood took me. I will keep it in mind though, thanx for the memory jog :-)

Hmm, just took a look at the website -- Apparently its now owned by Royal Doulton. And THEY wrecked the painting style?????
Mom dragged me through that 'factory' on her quest for porcellain knowledge long ago. She used to paint/create repros long ago. But she's been a repairer for over 20 years of antique dolls, figurines, and other "stuff" I have none of her talent :( ;) :D
Anyway, in case you want to take a peek at what I"m referring to :D

I used to collect the Enchantica figures, when I could afford them, but they're definitely not as good since Holland Studiocraft sold out to Royal Doulton. Shame, but it saves my pennies!;)

Saves my pennies too. --- same when David Winters was bought out by Enesco. The paint jobs on those are also very heavyhanded :(
