This is kinda weird but my Tiva is 13 yrs old, blind and deaf I am sure ( she only has the one eye). When I put the dogs out in the morning she comes to the door and then stops about 4 feet back sometimes and you have to touch her on the head and then she moves forward and outside.
My kids are pretty much home in and out of the house so the dogs are let out alot. I noticed one day their bedding smelled, upon pulling the bedding out of the kennel it looks as though it was peed, and the dog bed in the living room same thing. Thankfully I have them wrapped in pads (like the ones put down on beds for elderly people) so they are washable. I am pretty sure it is Tiva peeing them- was thinking when she is sleeping she just doesn't notice and wets herself. I ruled that out cause she sleeps on the floor and no mess. So I figure when no one is home and she needs to go out she just goes on her bed? I find that weird cause most dogs don't mess where they sleep. No she has never done this b4, would rather that then on my floors for sure. bascially peeing her bed lol

Curious has anyone had their dog do this due to old age?

Not to old age but I have an older incontinent bitch (10 yrs but been that way since around 2/3).  Hers is spay caused, and if not controlled by meds she will wet where she sleeps - whenever she relaxes is when she starts to leak, and in full sleep is the worst.

I would get her checked out by a vet - it may be age-related incontinence but equally it could be something easily treated such as an infection :-)

She does fall into a deep sound sleep on our floor and all is good, think its only when she needs to go out and no one is here.

Leaky lady syndrome! Get her to the vet for some meds.

She probably falls into a deeper sleep on the beds than the floor so accidents happen. One of mine was doing things like that firstly I blamed the pup then I guessed the pattern. After 8 at night in the winter when no one wants to get up to let the dogs out. I would find a damp bed. These days much much better she's on meds now but still needs to be reminded to go out around 8 at night and again before bed time. My girl is 11 years old and was spayed at 6months which leaves a predisposition to urinary incontience.
