I had my sons 6/7  year old wiem overnight last night,
I fed all of the dogs late as we had travelled back from seaside hoilday home.
She ate a 1lb raw green tripe (not for the the first time ) so is used to it
Although she normally is fed dry.
At 6.30 this morning she upchucked the lot !!!!
Query is it was not digested at all ,surely after that amount of time it should have at least been partialy digested ,or am I mistaken ? any comment /help would be appricated.
Thanks in advance Judy

Would not worry if she had made a long journey or even had the stress of changing homes, feed her a smaller amount two or three times today and see if it stays put, if not see a vet if it does then slowly get her back to her normal routine.

thank you so much for your reply Nova ,
Dont know if stress is the trigger as she has had numerous holidays with me & my dogs & her home mate a husky stayed as well and have never had a problem,But have changed mines diet a year ago to raw from dried so had none for her & as she had had tripe before did not think there could be a problem. Its the undigested bit that worrys me .

I would say not worry,as I have tripe fed GSD in the past and they have barfed it all up undigested.
Biggest issue is that it stinks when you feed them, but twice as bad when they barf it up.I am thinking the stress may have caused an issue.

Would not be concerned about it being undigested that was why it caused a chuck-up, the dogs system was busy coping with other matters and was not in the mood to digest food. It is natural for a dog to carry undigested food in the stomach because in the wild they would hunt, eat, rest and then return to the packs young and regurgitate for the young so it is a normal function of a dogs stomach to act as a shopping bag.

Just give her a couple of easy days with extra small feeds and see how it goes, of course, if you become really worried about her then see a vet.

Thanks Nova,It was the undigested thing that was worrying did not know that food could go that long without digesting.I expected it to be well through her system in that amount of time . She is in her own home now so will be feed on dry .Will check that she is ok later if no good on her own food will get my son to get her to vets tomorrow.Once again Champdogs members come through with the info that is needed.
