Hello, I was wondering if anyone could tell me where there may be ringcraft classes in Cambridgeshire as I am wanting to start showing my Labrador but cannot find anywhere near me that does ringcraft classes. If anyone is able to help ill be extreamly greatful.

Sadly there seems to be real lack of ringcraft classes on the area :(.
I have managed to find one that takes place near Newmarket but that is the only one I know of.
I have been told of one near Huntingdon too but have not managed to track down any further info.
These are the only ones I know of, not sure if they even fall in to cambs :)

Hopefully somebody else knows of one :) as we have been looking for a while and have had no luck.

Yes, Newmarket's the only one I immediately know of, I think they're technically in Suffolk but right near the border. I've not been to the ringcraft as it's on a different night but their pet obedience is quite good, and their competition obedience too. Now, if only I could get them interested in rally....

I went to the Newmarket one few times but sadly did not find it very good :(
The hall is too small for my dogs to even run properly :( (this was winter time, I think they do it outside in the summer so more space)
and it was so busy (obviously not the fault of the organisers) we had one going over and just stood on the side for 45 minutes waiting for it...
Did not get much out of it and don't think the dog did either so not been after that few times.

I like to be told what I'm doing wrong/could do differently etc not just run my dog up and down, have it gone over and next :) :)

Yes, that's true, it is a very small hall, you can just about manage for 8 dogs doing pet obedience, though we don't do much heelwork inside, but I wouldn't like to run a large ringcraft class there!
