Has there been any hold ups getting into Leeds show venue.

Last year I waited 30 mins to get over the junction into and through the gates. (Toy Day)

Do not want any panic as judging with CC for first time. Very excited.

Not been of late but there is almost always a hold up to get through the gates, stands to reason as the area is fed by a few roads and lots of people arriving at the same time.

Remember sitting in the queue once and thinking that I needed a drink of water so reached for one of the bottles that had been in the freezer over night and opened it, it dumped the contents in my lap and sprayed all over my hair, at which point the traffic moved and I arrived on the show sight looking as if I had had an enormous accident.

Yesterday there was a tailback of about half a mile, which took about half an hour to clear, but it was not too bad. Good luck and enjoy the day!

Does it depend on what time you go and which direction you come from?

We went yesterday, arrived about 11am (our judging didn't start until 2pm) and came from the Harrogate side (so right turn at the lights into Harewood). Got straight in with no wait at all.

We went yesterday morning but got stuck at Harewood Bridge (Harrogate side) and it took a good 40 mins to get up the bank.  I know people coming from Wetherby were queued from Collingham and it took them ages, but please do remember it was a Friday morning. We are second in the ring tomorrow but I am still leaving home at 08.30 and I only live 8 miles from Harewood!

We were there this morning and there was a bit of a queue from collingham/wetherby direction but not as bad as Friday last year. Arrived about 8.45ish and the queue was from just outside the village and moved reasonably quickly.
