
HeidiJan, for what it's worth, pick the very best ringcraft class you can find--it might not be the closest, but if you really want to do the best by your dog just grit your teeth and see the extra cost as an investment that will make the difference to you and your dog. Not all ringcraft classes are the same. I travel an hour to get to ours and have tried quite a few much closer to home, but they aren't anything like as effective. That could be down to the size of the class, the skill of the trainer and all sorts of things. I know it's made a difference to me as a handler, which means my dog is more confident and relaxed. There will be loads of time to spend money on your dog, but the time to invest in training is now :)
