has anyone else read the article about pde 2 by JH in dogs today mag? it seems she doesnt know whats going to be in it? she also seems to be trying to get sympathy out of people for the way she was treated not only on this forum (and she quotes what i said, amongst what others said too) but also on facebook etc. well, im not on facebook but what did she expect after the mayhem she caused?
i still think she is responsible for the expensive designer cross breeds that the public are buying, presumably because they think they are healthier than pedigree dogs and i only hope this is mentioned in pde 2. the public need to be told that 2 pedigree's untested  put together do not neccesarily make healthy pups. also their coats and temperaments cannot be guaranteed let alone what they look like, but the public assume it is.
i only hope the programme will go into this

Well i am hoping that her star is falling in the media world after the sunday times having to pay out damages to the woman JH accused of plucking her dogs whiskers with no truth behind it :) Even so JH is claiming it was a sunday times error and not hers but after the shar pei thing too it wouldnt suprise me if it was JH

My own feelings that in making anther PDE program only 3 years (just one canine generation) she will be able to say, look nothing has changed.

How could it.

Now 10 years down the line.

So it will be another put the boot in program as the GP will have to a large extent forgotten the first one.

Dogs Today issue aug2011 by Jemima Harrison
"The follow-up has been commissioned by the BBC as what is known as a 'personal view' film, acknowledging my continued involvement in the issue since the first film. It means i am free to express a strong opinion, but the rules are clear - I have to be factually accurate and opposing viewpoints must be fairly represented."
"So what is going to be in PDE2? Acutally, i dont know yet - but i know i am looking foward to telling the inside story of what happened after the film (it's fascinating, i promise!), and the follow-up will definitely include some of the positive steps that have been taken, by both the Kennel Club and individual breeders, since 2008."
"Of course, i am sure it wont be a surprise to anyone that the film is also likely to feature stories that illustrate that a lot more needs to change in the world of pedigree dogs"

It also said about the complaints to Ofcom about the first PDE and the findings. Jemima also wrote that they have requested to have interviesw with the KC and dog show acess but havent hurd back yet.

You have your wires crossed, Boody. I am not involved in any way with this case. My whiskers article is on my blog ("A Whisker Plot?") and if you read it you will see that I do not name any dog groomer.  You will also, I hope, see that the article is pretty fair and balanced and expresses a variety of views. The Sunday Times picked up my my article but got their own quotes from the BVA etc and did their own interviews. They mistakenly wrote that doThe Sunday Times has issued a correcton and apologies but as far as I'm aware has not paid out any damages to the dog groomer that they named.

You wouldn't think a journalist would need rules such as this.  Anything else and you are a novelist :)
