Are the shows normally held in the evening?
As i went to one that was during the day at the weekend.

I have not been to a show for many many years...!!!!. But as far as I know apart from the evening show in October they hold an open show in the summer, in fact you have just missed it, but that is not held at Parley.
Also, Ringcraft and matches are held at Parley.

I remember reading about this - was this the show where the organisers had to remove stones from the field, by hand, before the show could go ahead?  They deserved a medal for consideration and care above and beyond!

I didn't go myself, but I think the date changed this year and the show was held in May, normally it is around 10 - 15th of June
