Never thought about it before as in the past my litters were all born on the same day.But if their whelping spans 2 days do you count when the last pup was born.

I don't know the correct answer but might it be worth checking shows to see if birth day 1 or 2 might rule a show pup in or out for entries at 6 months?

Just a thought!  :)

I always put the birthdate as being when the whole litter had arrived, not some on one day and some on another. So I'd put the second date.

In my case the first pup arrived at 23.40hrs Xmas Eve  and the other 2 well after midnight on Xmas morning so opted for the latter date.

Any birth date can mess up age related show classes.

We once had a litter where ten were born before midnight, then one afterwards. We put the first date, don't know if that was right.

Thought of that already, was going to check next years dates for East of England and W&P ,just wondered if there was a right or wrong

i counted the first day as the b/day/ after all, thats when they started being born, 4 before and 4 after midnight

I always put it as the day the first one is born, though saying that my girls usually give birth at about 3 in the morning!
