Topic Dog Boards / General / Pet friendly weekend breaks in Lancashire/Cumbria

It's OH's birthday this week. I would like to take him away for a weekend break with our pup and was hoping for some suggestions - this is the best place to ask for them!

Any suggestions would be brilliant as I'm finding it hard work to find somewhere suitable!

Thanks,
Sarah (& Pup)

Hi, Keswick in the lakes is great for dogs and 99% of the shops and pubs are dog friendly....."Cottages for you " offer some great accommodations that are dog friendly......how old is your pup ? Just consider how much walking you could potentially do.....it's easy to walk for miles and hours and over walk the little beauty......

Hawkshead in the Lakes is very dog-friendly too.

Not quite where you're looking but there are a couple of dog friendly places in the Barnard Castle area - run by friends

Laverock Holiday Cottages  http://www.freewebs.com/comebyanaway/

Leighton Cottage, Bowes    http://www.leightoncottage.co.uk/page2.htm
