I SAW IN GREECE A DOG VERRY BIG (ALMOST THE SIZE OF A PONY)? THEY SAY TO MEE IT WAS A RUSSIAN DOG VERRY GOOD AS A GUARD, VERRY INDEPENDANT, AND THAT IT EATS A LOT;

Was it a Russian Black Terrier. Used by the military, I think, in Russia. Big, black dog.

I guess it was a Caucasian Sheepdog (Cavkaskaja Ovcharka - FCI Group2) big, blue-grey coloured with a lot of coat and of massive size, very popular in Greece. The other Sheepdog coming from Russia is the West-Asian Sheepdog (Sredenasia Ovcharka - FCI Group2) white or sugar coloured with brown and/or brindle marks. Note that both dogs have usualy cropped ears.

There is the Russian or Moscow watchdog which looks like a St Bernard.
