My 9 yr old Cocker is unwell.  She hasn't looked great for a couple of weeks but I thought she was just in need of a good groom(you know how they can look worse/older when hairy monsters?).  So she got her groom last weekend but still looked awful and her hair is sort of corse/greasy.  She just doesn't look right?  Well, yesterday she started coughing like she had something stuck in her throat.  I don't think it's KC as we have had that before and she was hacking while sleeping not when she was exercising earlier.  And she is cold.  She keeps trying to cuddle into everyone including the other dogs(something she never does) and this morning she went for one of the other dogs.  I have no idea?  Before I couldn't take her to the vet as she had nothing 'wrong' but I think I will take her with the cough and see.  Any ideas before I get there?

She probably needs to have hormone levels measured, to rule out something going on with a hormone secreting gland like adrenals or thyroid. The cough is probably just a 'symptom' rather than the problem. The 'coldness', poor hair growth etc is indicative.
