Hi All

Just had to have a proud moment post!

Tilly passed her puppy class this evening - yes I know most puppies pass with no problems but I was still very proud of her when she got her certificate and rosette. She even seemed to get a prance in her step when she got the rosette pinned on her collar!

I have signed her up to the next class (Bronze award) as the instructor thinks that she will be able to do the tasks and we can start it next week rather than waiting a few months first.

I am so proud of her.

i know how you feel!im so proud of my dogs its silly!and well done Tilly!I doubt my pup will pass her bronze, but its my fault not hers(not enough training, though i try)Im still proud of her!

Congratulations to you both.  It sounds as you enjoy training with her so 'onwards and upwards' as the saying goes.

In our Club we follow straight on to Bronze - I see no reason why not to.  Continuation and practice is the key.

From a trainers point of view - I would be very proud of you and your enthusiasm to continue - something sadly lacking in many pet dog owners.

Hope to hear you've passed Bronze at first attempt soon....

Yes congratulations and continue with the hard work!

As Ells-Bells says with the classes I run the pups carry straight on up through the Bronze as it keeps the owners working hard :)

I know this sounds obvious but do check that the class you sign up for next IS Bronze!
After my first dog passed his puppy foundation I signed up straight after for what I was led to believe was Bronze. After 6 weeks (and £60) the course ended and I asked when the tests would be... I was told it hadn't been a Bronze class at all, the 'real' Bronze classes were just about to start so I would either have to sign up for another 6 weeks, or come back for the test in 6 weeks time!

Needless to say that was the last time I ever went near that club, but the unfortunate side was that it took me 4 months to find another club locally where I could do the test.
