Not sure if this has come up, but i searched and couldnt find anything :)

i have 8 dogs ranging from 14 years down to 8 months, does anyone else with multiple dogs have a 'blanket' insurance cover that takes all the dogs into account? i realsie some companies wont touch my 14 year old, and i also have one witha  heart murmur i know wont be included.

any companies worth me trying??

thanks for any suggestions :)

The only company I know of (bearing in mind I've not looked for years) is Healthy Pets - they will cover up to 5 as I recall.

Good cover, but as with a lot of companies the premium jumped on my policy on yr 2 - it was Remy's premium that jumped (him being a dobe, the other dogs on there being crossbreeds) so I didn't carry on with it.  It's one payment but they do split it on the system and assess the premium accordingly IME, hence Remy's jump.

If there is another company doing multiple dog cover and good cover I'd love to know about it too - fairly pointless right now as I have 4 dogs with existing lifelong conditions but the other 4 don't, and for future ref too.

I got excited there and tried how much my 3 would cost...
Currently pay less than £90/month for lifetime £6000 per year cover...
Healthy pets quoted nearly £200 for lesser cover :( They must do better deals more dogs you have?

Yeowch!  They must have gone up.  When I had my 3 on it I was paying about £24 a month til the first renewal.

I had five with petplan and they gave me a multi pet discount, I was still about £160 a month.

be careful with Animal Friends, I just got stung with them not paying out, to be fair it wasn't their fault BUT your vet must submit a claim within 90days or they will not consider it, my vet didn't even though they had the claim form as most don't have a prescriptive time limit eg Sainsburys say within 31 days or as soon as possible thereafter, so anyone with Animal Friends - make sure your vet knows they have 90 days and that's it!!

Thank you will remember that. I hope it wasnt too big a bill
