From memory there wasn't much difference between the care of ex batt's and regular hens, it just takes them time to adjust to life on the outside. The only real consideration would be if it was winter and they were cold. Was there something specifically you were concerned about ?. I see you haven't had hens before, I'm assuming you have a coop and run for them, a good quality layers pellets ( I use Allan & Page ) and mixed grit which they must have to help them digest their food, you'd also be best of buying a proper feeder to cut down on wastage and a proper drinker, if you don't have a farm supply shop PAH have a small chicken range now. Please don't put the food and water in the coop with the hens as you'll just attract rats and create a big mess in the coop, you should take the food in at night all together so as not to attract rats, you should also poo pick the coop every day as the build up of ammonia fumes can cause havoc with hens breathing. What sort of bedding and flooring in the coop are you planning to use ?
Also have a google for chicken forums, there are loads.
The city farm I used to work on used to take in ex batt's, it was a real joy to see them turn into real hen's, hope you enjoy them.
