We are adding to our household next week and having a new westie pup come to live with us....it's been 10 years since we have had a new pup.  All our new residents have been over one year old.....oh what to do with an 8 week old?????

Order "The perfect puppy" by Gwen Bayliss for starters.  Much, much cheaper in amazon than PAH.

Thank you for that, I am preparing for her arrival and discussing with her breeder how best to introduce her to the boys (2 yr old westie and the nearly 2 year old sprollie) , where she is going to sleep, making sure the garden is puppy proof (it's dog proof but..), spoke to the vet about bringing her in etc and now getting into panic mode....

I like The Puppy Primer by Patricia McConnell, and by the same author Feeling Outnumbered? How to manage and enjoy your multi-dog household

She's very good and has a sound common sense approach.  Both books are an easy read and full of useful information
