hi i have 5 pups and all doing fine till yesterday 1 was sick and hasnt eaten since yesterday luchtime hes only drunk from mum.
im not to worried as he is fine in himself and bouncy its just that ive tried every food to get him to eat and he just sits back and is not interested.
eg scrambled egg, fish, weetabix with lactol, raw beef mince and iams puppy food.
i so wont him to eat as dont want him to get worse :(
could anyone give me any suggestions for other tasty puppy treats to coax him to eat please

a vet told me to use dry puppy food perferably lamb and mix a little bit of water into it to make it moist almost like a paste, my pup loved it!

How old is he?

When a dog isn't wanting to eat and there is no obvious reason I start wondering is it constipated and/or in the case of young pups full of worms.

Is he pooing normally ie colour, consistancy and frequency and when was he and Mum[as she is still feeding him]last wormed, has there been signs of worms in the past?

As he is still acting normally then hopefully it isn't anything too serious. Is he still vomiting or was that just a one off episode and when in relation to last eating did it happen?

Sorry for all the questions but te answers may help me or someone ese come up with suggestions.

A trip to the vet may be needed tomorrow if he is no better.

Has he eaten this morning?

Raw mince meat usually stimulates the fussiest of eaters, that and chicken with rice. Scrambled egg, fish, soaked Iams that you are giving are all very good so your offering variety and tasty food, I don't think the food is the problem your giving a good diet. Besides the pup is feeding from the Dam so not completely off food, have you got water down too? Maybe pup is just really thirsty, very hot weather lately.

Hopefully he is eating this morning?

Don't know how old he is but if hes eating the dry kibble you could warm it up slightly in the microwave to get the flavours flowing a bit more
