My girl had new babies this morning and they are pooping alot. They are covered all the time. Have never had this happen before, anyone got any advice?

Is Mum not cleaning them at all? Normally they need stimulating by Mum to go.

I never saw poo till the pups were weaned and Mum stopped cleaning them so readily.

If it continues then you are going to have to do the toileting duties to keep things under control.

she probably hasnt got the hang of it yet. i had a cat that had kittens covered in poo and we had to wipe them with a wet cloth to get mum licking and within a day they were fine. i would wipe pups bums with wet cloth and get mum licking as they start pooing, im sure she will catch on

I have had slap dash Mums in the first day or two, and just use wet wipes.
