Blackpool entries have been extended to monday 23rd may , only found out by chance , higham press always send a reminder email but fosse data don't seem to well i have never had one anyway.

Seen this today also. So glad I did my entries last night at 11pm!!! they are now charging £3 extra per dog if entered during this extended period!

I would love to know how they can justify the £3 extra. Benching? or is there something I'm missing?

Just pushing their luck as they know they can as people will still enter.  Think it's very naughty, let's face it it isn't going to cost anymore is it? 

I can't see it costing an extra £3 from one day to the next!!! Very naughty but looks like quite a few of the societys are doing this now,it would make me not enter three or four dogs out of principle so they don't gain around £12 they loose nearly £100!!!

Even after 20 odd years of this showing lark I have never quite grasped why people would wish to enter after the closing date, the closing date should be the closing date, people don't seem to be organised these days.  Now I sound old!!!!

Many reasons.  Some of us who have bitches may be either have them at the stage where their coat is coming back but 4 - 5 days extra to decide if they will be decent enough to show makes a difference.  I have one who looks fabulous for the most part after blowing her coat within 1 month, but this time 6 weeks later still looks so scruffy I would welcome a few extra days.  Some of us have a life outside of showing and for various reasons may need to make last minute decisions on what to enter due to conflicts on other interests.  I cannot for the life of me understand in the era of IT why the UK stands alone in having entries closing so far ahead of shows.  Windsor I see have extended their online entries from the 18th to the 24th of May, why they need such a long time makes one think they are not efficient in their organisation.  Even the WDS which already is up to 29,000 entries starting the same week as Windsor their entries do not close till 1st June.

Also with so many shows so close together I can't always pay for so many close together so few days extra I may get paid in time to do another :-)
