One of my puppy owners has just started showing their boy and hes had two shows and both times got BPIB and today took BOB aswell with WPG3 & WPG4 places at 6 months old. As you can imagine I am over the moon, but his owner just told me that the name in the catalogue is in error ie printed Mizark instead of Mizaru. Can anyone tell me how she can rectify this? I'd hate for her to miss out on a JW or ShCM because of a printing mistake.

If it is a printers error, then a copy of her handwritten entry will be enough.  The show secretary will have these, and normally kept for a year or so.

I think there would be no need to worry though, I would imagine the KC have seen many errors over the years, and I have never heard of anyone dis-allowed point or the title because of it..

This happens to us all of the time LOL my dad has terrible handwriting, just ring the printers and they will change it next time as I think names are auto stored so if the mistake is wrong once it will be wrong at another show where the printers print the schedule. Its 50/ 50 on our kennel name being printed right most of the time with spaces and all sorts (it does make me smile).  Oh and Sophie's mum for some reason keeps pupping up as being a CH on the schedules but she isn't and Iv rung to correct it so many times now.

I would advise she contacts the show secretary to advise her of the printing error and then the show secretary can put a note in the catalogues she sends to the KC and there will then be no problem should anyone pick up on it which is not to be expected.

Also contact the printers of the catalogues that have been wrong and ask them to change it on their computer or they will be dogged by this for ages.
