Hi

Loads of smelly poo around that really does stink and my dogs insist on sniffing it out and rolling in it, could this be fox poo, if so my mum saw advert on tv about it and dogs catching worms from it, is this true and if so should i be using a special worm treatment regulary ??

fox poo is dark looks black , dogs love it and usually roll on thier backs in it if they can!! you should be using a wormer anyway ie: drontal available from your vet or on line at any vet pharmacy , amount to give depends on the weight of your dog.

A monthly dose of Advocate as a preventative for the lungworm Angiostrongylus vasorum - the one in the adverts.

Speaking to my vet the other day, he said if the dog was infected, he would prescribe Panacur at a lower dose over a longer period to kill the worms gradually - not in one great hit as that is when problems can occur with the whole host of worms dying together and giving out toxins.
