my bitch is 61 days to first mating and 59 days to 2nd mating which sheep scanner said she had taken to 2nd mating
but last 2 days she has been very restless and last night and today breathing very quickly but not heavy panting also when resting and laid outrighjt kicks her back legs out no and again
do you think this is first stages and if so how long should i expect this to go on for ? doesnt look swollen at the back but then she doesnt swell much at all when shes in season

now had some white dicharge looks like we could be on our way today or tomorrow maybe? its her first litter

Good luck, the restlessness could be pups moving inside lining up. My bitch dug all night the night before she had them bless her.

AT LAST!!!
she had 4 puppies just as sheep scanner predicted 2 normal birth 2 breach although last one was a long time getting here
Phoned vet saying she was still having contractions but not strong ones and that shed been scanned for 4 but as yet we only had 3 He said not to go by scanners as not alwats right but i said i,d like an xray anyway just for peace of mind and sure enough one pup still there so he gave the bitch a oxitocin jab and she had the only boy in the car on the way home
She is very good with them for her 1st litter , more than i expected as she,s quite a wild child normaly  anyway back to the whelping box where i more or less live till their 3 weeks!!!
