Were having a BBQ tomorrow evening, we only have a few neighbours around our house, so should be a nice evening to celebrate the Royal Wedding!

Nope I'm in work yeahhhhh! Even though I'm not anti-Royal I've really not got into the hype of tomorrow.

My husband doesn't get any bank holidays off work, so he's been at work all these recent ones when everyone else seems to be off. So tomorrow will just be another normal day again. I quite fancied watching the wedding on telly like I did last summer with the Swedish one (really enjoyed that, but then for me seeing all the parts of Stockholm I know so well was like a trip home via my computer chair; the TV was broadcast worldwide on the net and it was for many hours, not ending until way past midnight), but this is in the MORNING! How inconsiderate, don't they realise in the morning you need to feed dogs and cats, clean the house etc, not to mention that Fridays are my floor washing days?! ;)

not on your life...sick of the wedding already... Hubby has to work so to us its still a normal working day, will watch to see her dress and thats about it for me :)

I have already put up a little bit of bunting (cost me a blimmin' fortune from one of our 'Brit' shops!) and shall be settling down with a glass of wine after work to watch.
I've heard that there has been a bit of 'overkill' re: the media in the UK, but I guess because I now live overseas, I feel a little more patriotic? I'm looking forward to watching :)

you will have to forgive me ... but I cannot understand the people who dress up in weird clothes and hats covered in the flag and sit out on the pavement for days just to watch them drive past, people pushin' and shovin' cramped together like sardines..just isnt for me. :) but if people like to do that ..enjoy it!!

My husband works most Bank Holidays too.... I shall be grooming Connor ready for Welks... the wedding might be on in the background ;)
plus just started the diet again so no BBQ's or drinking for me!

No party, but we have a special weekend so my grownup children are arriving early tomorrow morning to watch the wedding. Out for a nice meal Saturday evening, then all here for Sunday lunch. My poor DIL can't come as she has an all expenses paid trip with first class plane ticket, to a 5 star resort with Michelin star restaurant in Florida - poor her missing the wedding :) :) :)

ah poor DIL .. :) :) :) wow hope she enjoys every minute!

Well I thought I would be we and truly out of it - literally.I was meant to have my hand reconstructive surgery today, and be in Hospital for the wedding. But due to an unpresidented amount of trauma admissions ( all that ruddy DIY over Easter i expect)all elective surgery is cancelled. At least when I spoke to the Plastics secretary we got talking about dogs and she does agility. So no entry to Welks or Nationals.I have just rung work to say that I will be in tomorrow - at least its double pay.

Nobody in my village seems to be doing anything, most people I know are working as normal anyway.
Hope the surgery goes well when ever it happens.

Had to have a giggle as my daughter works for a company called Daisy and she is off to Florida, and will be staying at the Waldorf Astoria for a business conference.
What is it with Daisy and Florida? lol
Yes, we are throwing a garden party (or a house party if it rains) :-)
Looking around I've been a little upset at how unpatriotic a lot of the country are being, I have flags up and like to show my patriotism and support for the royal wedding, yet I went to a friends this morning and only saw a handful with flags or decorations out of possibly 3,000 homes there, really miffed by it and saddened to be honest, seen a few cars with flags on, but not much support really. Guess central London is the place to be..........
I bet America are showing more support than much of the UK. I know many of my American friends are gushing with excitement and wish they were here in fact many would cut their right arm off to be here. :-D
We hardly ever get the chance to fly our flag here, it's a shame we aren't more like America who can't wait to show their patriotism.
Never mind, my flag is flying high and I'll be raising a glass to the happy couple. :-) Enjoy your parties and celebrations too, those who are having them, hopefully the tv ratings will be very high and I can't wait to see the dress. :-)

i agree carrington. my nearest pub has no union jack flags outside at all, just england football ones!
my son works in central london and is dreading the 'crush'
however, i am going to MIL for a house party and will also be toasting with champagne (hopefully)
good luck to them and i cant wait to see the dress either--only hope i dont blub!

Nope, not doing anything, might catch a 5 minute highlight if it's on the news perhaps. Mind you that reminds me my earliest memory is of the street party for the Queen's Silver Jubilee! :-D It rained and we all squashed into a van and finished the party at the church hall instead.

Aww poor you. Chest infections are horrible :( Hope you get better soon.
We aren't really doing anything - apart from sealing the patio, hopefully, if it doesn't rain - should have been done years ago, but that's another story ;)
And I'll be grooming dogs for a show on sunday :)
My mum and one of our friends are going to watch it together. They were going to watch the whole thing wearing their wedding dresses, tiaras and waving flags, but can't find their wedding dresses :-D so they are just going to watch and have a nice picnic and a bit of cake :)
Have got my Thorntons box of chox from Tesco for £6..half price...to share with hubby and daughter..bottle of Asti to toast and hope the sun shines for them:)

Was going to WELKS, but with so much to do and so little time to do it in i've had no time to bathe the stinky swamp monster, so we aren't travelling over there...
