i questioned today why a seven month old puppy was entered in a class of the above heading, when i understand that a dog can not compete in a race until a twelve month old the same for lure coursing and eighteen months for coursing, when the definition of classes states ,open to all bona fide members of the above clubs whose dog to be exhibited must have regularly competed,i asked the chairman this who had said they had also had another person ask the same,they were not happy with the said dog being in the class,a committee member said that the dog had been trialed every weekend, i do not wish to make a comment on that statement as have my own opinions on that. would the definitions of classes be a committee or kennel club statement, thanks tina

Tina, think it is the club who decides on the wording which is then passed by the KC, but as it is not something I'm sure of I will have to look it up to be sure, don't take my word as gospel. I agree don't see how a 7 month pup could fullfill the requirements. Ja:)kie

thank-you jackie, if you have any more imfo for me i would be very gratefull, undecided wether to contact the chairman in a few days to find out more as she said she would be taking it up with the committee, leave it, or contact the k.c, would not want to get any one in trouble but would like a clear understanding of what is eligable for this class thanks tina
