Last time I wormed from day 40 it was a nightmare getting the wormer in.
I was thinking instead of using a syringe, perhaps putting it in some cottage cheese/rice pudding or something tasty like that. Any tips welcome, what do you do?

I found syringing easiest for single doses but for daily doses (they get too wise) as you say put it in a tasty treat like a little cottage cheese yogurt etc as a breakfast.

About the time that Panacur is due to start, I am normally upping the feed on my bitches anyway.

I start buying the "value" type packs of white fish from supermarkets.  Much cheaper as they aren't uniform in size/shape etc.

I poach them in half milk/half water.  And I just mix the Panacur in before giving my girls their special treat!  :-)

Although I have often found, particularly close to whelping, that a bitch may not eat all of her fish, as it only happens a couple of times, it has never made a difference to the result.

Hi

I found tins of mackeral in sunflower oil fantastic for this and healthy to. One occasion she got wise but nothing a dab of tomato puree didnt fix!

She actualy enjoyed her panacur time in the end :)

In addition to the above I also put it into a small amount of goat's milk (I say small as I want her to drink it all up!) - I like variety :-D

I always just mixed it in with her normal food. She never ever refused it! But then she still ate all her meals on the day she gave birth, she's a proper foodie!!

Maggie's not foody at all. She often "spits" her biscuits out for the others to eat!!
I like the mackeral idea.
Just hope the Panucur gets here in the post on time or I will have to pay OTT price at the vets.
