Hi my small toy breed is at day 41 ofher 2nd litter pregnancy . she seems very large this time more early than her first litter. She is carring less pups this time am l worring over nothing  or should lbe concerned at the size so early

How long ago was her first litter? The muscles don't always have the same tone a second time around so they seem to get bigger earlier.

Less pups for the dam to nourish could mean the pups are going to be bigger this time.

They do get larger faster with later litters.  I did too with my second baby(but if you'd have said that I might have killed you!!).  Everything has allready been stretched so it's easier to swell the second time round.  Now all we need is a magic wand to get it all to spring back!!

One of my girls has just had her second litter ( 15 months after her first ) . She too looked much bigger much earlier on ( last time she had a very neat little bump and I was amazed that she went on to have 6 pups ) . Anyway , she had these pups 9 days ago and I was thinking she had at least 8 as she was huge , but again she had 6 , and all similar sizes born to the first litter . Like cracar says , it happens with women with babies . I have 5 children , and by the fifth I knew I was pregnant before even doing a test as I could barely get in my jeans ... and I need more than a magic wand ... a miracle more like ;-)
