Hi all, untill this morning all was going fab,all gaining weight, taking to solids like a breeze - however I've just been smootching them in the pen and one has started wretching ? trying to vomit and brought up a little bile ?
They were wormed yesterday and Sunday with Panacur (2nd batch of worming) and last dose due today. Also have had a squirt each of Spot on spray as spotted a flea in the living room yesterday (probably from the cats).
Should I be worried ? (i am .. but always am! LOL)

There shouldn't be bile as that indicates the stomach was empty, maybe the worming regime has caused some stomach upset, just keep an eye on it and the others don't start doing the same.

A breeder friend recently had a similar problem and found that her pups were over feeding from Mum after starting solids and then wretching and bringing up a bit of milk, she now keeps Mum away for at least an hour after the pups have been fed and limit them to only feeding for a few minutes rather than having free access, the problem has resolved.

thanks, that might be it,its difficult to know how much time to allow them to feed , they are on 5 meals a day now, still soaking the food but not mashing it and they have goats mily and on and off mum around 3 - 4 times a day, though i must say only on Mum for a few mins

My litter were a bit sicky after worming with Pancur too.

I wouldn't be worried about the Panacur.  I would be very worried that a spot on had been used during the 3 day worming.  A great big NO NO.

I would never flood puppies with chemicals to that extent.

I have had experience with parvo and I really do not want to worry you but that is how it all started. However a pup who was 4 weeks old threw up last week and scared me to death. I snap tested it for parvo which was neg :) and he has been fine since?? So I have no idea what caused it. My advice would be to keep a close eye. If it is just once dont worry if it continues see a vet asap because parvo is deadly and even now and thousands (literally) of gallons of bleach, virkon and trigene later I am still scared to death that it will be back. but good luck. Hope that helps.
