Yes, I always used Sea Legs...I have tried Johnsons Traveleze with no luck & have tried Stugeron which has slightly better results.

put dog in a crate and  cover the crate on all sides ...over the weeks gradually lift the sides as dog becomes accustomed to travelling in a vehicle...
Dont feed at least 2 hrs before or no food if possible ....

As starryeyes has suggested, but I've also found cocculus tablets work (natural).

I never feed an pup who is likely before travelling...thats just asking for it to be returned...lol

I have found better results from them travelling on the back seat being sat with my mother. I had to go to a show today on my own & my 9 month old had to travel in her cage in the back and the journey was only 20 mins away, so I gave her the tablet & risked it...good journey with no sickness

I took the opposite view when I had a car sick pup.  Eating or not eating made no difference to whether he was going to throw up - that part was guaranteed! - but it was just easier for him after food and he was much less distressed than being sick on an empty stomach.

I also never found that drugs of any kind helped - it just seemed to be something he needed to grow out of.  However he was vastly improved by giving him a crate in which he was a slightly tight fit, as he could brace himself better around the corners!

I am of the opinion that it's a waste of food, when you know it's deffinately coming back.

Stugeron (15) are available at Boots & they work very well with my whippet. I started giving him half a tablet & now am down to a quarter. They do not make him drowsy & I can now feed him about an hour before he goes in the car too. My GSD (Zak) was also travel sick, but I am hoping that Stanley (whippet) will grow out of it, just as Zak did.
