Was chatting to the guy at work and showing him photos of the mum and half brother of the pup im waiting for and he said he saw one dog on crufts on the TV that he realy liked but wasnt sure what it is. Apperantly the presenter was either holding the lead or talking to someone who was, He's sure they said it was a mountain dog but i showed him photos of all the breeds that has mountain dog in there name and he said it wasnt what he saw, he described it as like a smooth coated jack russel but huge (giant breed size) and it was white with patches of colour. The clostest mountain dog was the Entlebucher Mountain Dog but the colour is wrong. Any one know what he saw?

I know which dog he meant, he was with the presenters when talking about cani x. It is some sorts of a central asian mountain dog and looked like a short haired pyrenees. Sorry, but I can't remember the exact name of the breed.

Not a mountain dog, but could it have been a Bracco Italiano? I've saved the Crufts programs so could have a whizz through them (do you know what day)?

It was Patch, one of the Nowzad dogs rescued from Afghanistan.  I cant find what breed he is though.

ah so not a UK reconised breed then, that could be why every breed i showed him from the KC site was wrong lol.

I think the Nowzad dogs are classified as Kangals - probably more of a type than a pure breed, or with other breeds in the background.
