To be on the safe side and not get ripped off my suggestion is find the nearest Spiritualist church

There are various psychic fairs that tour the country - I have been to a few but you have to pay to get in and then pay for a reading and they can vary dramatically in how good they appear.
I also used to go to spiritualist church and found those more comforting although you do not get a reading every time unless you are really lucky as the person taking the service just choses a few to give messages to.

I agree, go to a spiritualist church. Speak with a few people who regularly attend, they will know which mediums are the good ones. There will be a notice board with the dates which medium will be attending, so you can choose the dates of the medium you like. They may also offer private readings but you will normally have to pay for those.

Even if you don't get a 'message' while attending the service, it is often very lovely to see others get their messages, things can become tearful but in a happy way :-)

What a fantastic place to start ....!

After all life is a never ending journey and you have to start somewhere ... so why not make a start here...?? :)

Some say that life is a circle .... some see it as a spiral ... and as nothing in Nature is in a straight line .... I rather like the notion of a spiral myself.... reminds me of DNA for some reason.... ??

Its wonderful to see other people get a message .... maybe it depends on how open they are themselves to receiving it...?? :)

Anyway .... good luck ... and I hope you get your answer ....! :)

Has anyone seen the Derren Brown show which was on channel 4 about three weeks ago?  Don't mean to be negative, especially if people get comfort from these meetings, but he basically staged a 'psychic' show and was able to tell lots of audience members things about themselves and family.  He was showing, however, that if you know the tricks of the trade (which he wouldn't reveal) anyone can do this and pass themselves off as a psychic.  It was all about illusion.  I am quite an open minded person, but what I don't like is the peope on tv who go around the country making a mint. Sorry.

jdp1962, we went to see Sally Morgan live a few weeks ago, if that is the lady you mean??.... she was garbage...
She got more wrong, then she got right... I was really disappointed as she seems to be so good on the TV, but then again that is edited and heavily if the live show was anything to go by....

A complete waste of money and very disappointing.... Sorry !! :-(

Ive done a few psychic supper for charity which always go down well. You generally pay £10-£15 a ticket and sit at a table of about 10 people. There is a medium per table and after 20 mins they move onto the next table. Theres normally food after.

There are a few medium centres where I live. I generally dont like the spiritualist church because they sing too many hymns for my liking. My parents run a centre and focus more on the mediumship side of things.

Im in Nottinghamshire and if anyone wants any details message me. I can talk about this subject for ever! lol

Sally sounds as bad as that Colin guy.  Went to one of his live shows and the questions he asked were so basic and he really, really didn't have  a clue.  I'm not really interested in it and not sure I'm a believer, after going to one of his shows I do now feel it's a load of rubbish.

Amazingly awful you mean?

He didn't have a clue.  When he supposedly was talking to the family of the spirit, they'd already told him he died in a car crash, but ohh I can tell by talking to your son he died tragically, um yes they've already told you that!

All of it was I think, maybe, might have, nothing he said was positive in any way whatsoever.

Must have been the same event Gabrielle!
