Hi everyone , has anyone had any experience of this ? My pups are now 5 weeks old . Piper appeared to have stopped bleeding over a week ago but i have noticed today that she has started again. Its the same kind of blood , dark brown ish , no smell to it at all , she is great in herself, eating well, drinking well, still feeding the pups and taking great care of them. I have spoken to the vet who said not to worry but i am just not sure.
Any ideas?

Bitches can vary in how long they bleed for, the larger the litter the more placental sites to heal over, provided there is no smell and she is acting normally then I wouldn't worry.

Feeding pups causes the uterus to contract and if feeding is less regular as the pups get older then the loss may vary.

Thank you , i did wonder if it was due to the size of the litter , she had 13 babies ! she is very well in herself so i will just keep an eye on her , was worried as i thought the bleeding had stopped.

If pups are only 5 weeks, I don't find this unusual.
