I am new at reading dog pedigrees and registration papers. I have read horse and cattle registries for a long time and have those down to an art... but not dogs! Can anyone reccommend a sight where I can download what all the abreviations that might appear on their papers stand for? I have Australian Shepherds, if that makes a differents. I've got some of the basics but would like a more in depth understanding of it all.
Thank you!

Ok, here are a few:
Forever Autumn of Van B.... is the B part of the name or a title?
Las Rocosa Lily Four A... and the A?
Thank you!
these are the two that really stuck me, wasnt sure if I needed to find a title that they stand for or if it is part of the names.

It's not that simple QT, the bit after the "Of" or the "For" could be an Affix but the KC in their wisdom do not ban the use of these words in a name. So if you wanted, you could, as I once did, register a dog as "Copper Beth of Booker" without Booker being an affix!

Could they be ranch names QT or have I been watching too many westerns :)

I have a couple of Wolfhounds on my pedigree( nearly off the end now) that also have just a letter and I think abroad they are allowed to use single letters. Mine is Kerry of Heart G

The initials v d (apologies all) is short for van de so maybe the B's and A's are short for something which, as per usual, everyone assumes that everyone knows :D
