Topic Dog Boards / General / Soft Muzzle??

Does anyone use a soft muzzle when walking their dog? If so which is the best make? I don't want to put anything on my girl that would bite into her or pinch. Thank you

I wouldn't have thought that a soft muzzle would be suitable for walking as they are generally close fitting and won't let the dog pant?

IMO the best muzzles are the baskerville type, which allow the dog to pant, drink etc. The soft ones, such as the Mikki muzzles are too restrictive for my liking.

Fully agree with Pedlee -I'd never, ever risk a soft muzzle for a walk as they can be dangerous, whereas the Baskerville ones allows the dog to pant, be sick and even drink.

Thank you i will have a look for a a Baskerville one today. The soft muzzle would be ok for short bursts? Grooming etc...? 20 mins maximum. She bit through my foot last time, wasn't good. Thank you for your replies so far.
