Sorry guys, might not be a big issue for you but it is to me. Tiegan has milk,yey!!!!!
Last litter she didnt produce milk until pups were 7-8 days, pups lost a lot of weight and had to be hand fed from about day 2 to day 7. I was very very worried the same was going to happen again but this time she has milk already.
At what stage do your mums start to produce milk?
Do they differ and some produce once pups are born and some before birth?

Yay - well done - how far pregnant is she ? my girl is on day 47

with this being 2nd litter?? i think milk can come in about aweek before pups are due im sure some1 will put me right soon if im wrong :)

I've had bitches that didn't have their milk come in for several days.  I don't know if this is more prevalent in first time whelpers though.
