my girl is due in season anytime i have 2 dogs at home one is her best mate mate the other is her father who is getting amourous with her but not over keen AND when i say NO he,ll go away  her best mate isnt bothering but hes not as experienced like her dad is
anyway this has been going on for about 2 weeks its as though she is giving off the SMELL but thats all she doesnt swell  when she is in season and doesnt show HARDLY any colour i did mate her this time last year but no pups
this time i will use idex i dont want know whether to try blood test yet but think its much too early or wait untill both dogs are really keen
i test her for colour evey day and not a sign so far just DONT want to miss her as last time she was mated on 8/10/12 day but no pups AND she was definately NOT keen i did have a swab test done and was told that was the time to take her so just dont know what to do and where,s she,s at

I have something similar, my vet advised me to test (idexx) from day seven of season, every 48hrs along with a smear (ive suspected shes been ready very early in the past). Day 7 for my bitch was yesterday and being sunday today i wouldnt have got the results, so tested on day 6 instead (last fri ). The results i got yesterday were to early which is what i thought as this season is very different, so vet says test her again in 4 days. I havent used these tests before and my dilemma is - do i test again tommorow, monday, or should i go for teusday - day 10?

well checked her sunday night and again this am so im assuming this is her 2nd day so have made appointment to get blood taken on sat morning to arrive at idex monday  and monday will be day 9th day so will see monday afternoon where we are at (if anywhere) ive just got a feeling in my water that she,s going to be a late bitch but we will soon see

im not testing till sat seding sat results monday but shes quite early yet i think will need to retest but rather be too early than too late will keep you posted
