Molly has hurt her front leg the joint above her paw. We think she has fallen or twisted her joint in the field this morning falling down a rabbit hole or something. She can't put any weight on it? It is swollen, we have checked it out but she can't seem to straighton out the paw and holds it up when walking around. She has not moaned or told us it hurts? I will keep my eye on her today, then off to the vets tomorrow so she can turn into the dog from hell again!

Is there anything I can give her for the swelling?

Sorry not able to help with the leg, unless you want to try an ice pack? Don't know if it would work though

Just want to send good wishes to Molly and you

Yes, Arnica and a pack or frozen peas applied for a couple moments every hour or so. If you can risk the cost it may not be a bad thing to take her to the vet to make sure there is not any serious damage, but it may involve an x-ray, only you know if your pocket will stand that. But do take her if it still seems swollen in the morning or it it looks worse or she seems depressed. Jackie

Are you sure she hasn't been stung? Mine did the same when stung by a wasp.

No I don't think she has been stung? Our field is full of rabbit holes I do think she has twisted her leg when running after her ball this morning.

I have tried to put frozen peas in a t-towel but she is having none of it so she has had lots of love and cuddles and is asleep resting. The joint does look swollen so I will keep an eye on her no better by tomorrow then I will take her to the vet. Poor Mol!

Mol is much better today. In fact she forgets that she should not run around just yet. Very hard trying to keep a BC still! It turns out just a strain but another day of rest for her she should be OK. Though I am following her around today "slow down Molly you have a sore leg" - "Molly SLOW". Dogs!!! :)
