Just been watching this show on tv and thought what a wonderful light they showed the GSD in, happy go lucky and made me chuckle when it went for a s**t and then peed on the teddy, lol.

The Rottie was lovely, but it was a shame that they portrayed it in the light they did at the end, I did have tears welling for the boy when it was taken away from him, which goes to show what happens if you use a dog as a weapon...

Good to see 2 examples of these breeds around kids behaving so well..

My heart sank when I realised what the plot would be showing the Rott but was so glad that the programme makers showed the boys heartache when the dog was being taken away - I hope this will be a lightbulb moment for some people out there.

been looking forward to waterloo rd starting tonight.....SO disappointed.....the minute they showed the boy walking in the school with the rott you knew where the plot was going.....such a shame they have to portray the rott in a bad light....not what the breed needs at all.

I guess they could argue they were trying to show what happens when you use a dog as a weapon.....but lets be honest the people that do that dont give a s*** about their dogs anyway.....if its taken and destroyed they just get another one :(

I thought the storyline was in poor taste and just creates bad press to the uneducated public that will see rotts as nothing but vicious attack dogs.

Ok rant over lol.

I admit I didn't see the programme, but thinking about it, whatever breed or crossbreed was portrayed, would surely have had a similar impact?

At least the writers were compassionate enough to cover all aspects.
