Does anyone know where you can buy this at less than £50 a bag which is what PAH are now charging? We just have the generic Maxi one,

Thanks

Cripes!  I don't know about RC specifically as it's not my type of food but that's a lot in anyones book

I have ordered Arden Grange from VetUK in the past and have found them to be cheaper than anyone else - perhaps the same is true of RC...

RC is much more expensive than AG anyway.  Even at breeders prices I paid over £83 a year ago for 2 sacks of RC mini junior.

Lord knows what it was without breeders discount, and I'm sure it's gone up since then.  I have not ordered from them since, they are just getting out of my price range.

I think I just found it - on VetUK - for £45.34 15kg with free postage.  If RC is twice the price of something like AG is it twice as good?

In this current climate aren't they just going to price themselves out of reach?

I've just looked up RC mini junior on VetUK and it is £33.31 for 8.5kg!!!

I wouldn't say it's twice as good, but I would say that it has given excellent results for years.  And it is just cost that has started me looking around and trying other feeds.

When one of the sales girls phoned me expecting to get an order, I did try to say that they were getting out of my reach, and also that the puppy packs were now rubbish.  Her response was to ask if I would like my name taken off the breeders list!  Mmm  very good customer service training NOT.

Have a look at Berriewoods http://www.berriewoodwholesale.co.uk
They are usually very good on price and I order from them frequently, I have found their service to be quick and efficient.

I think RC customer service is awful.  I have weaned my litter on RC and they ae all leaving on Saturday and I have run out of food.  I can't believe I need to pay those extorionate prices again for 4 days!!  I called for puppy packs and was told that I would need to send them proof of purchase as I had not bought from them for ages.  I pointed out that ekenuba sent vouchers in with the KC reg papers for new owners and maybe they should consider doing the same as they were pricing themselves out of the market and her answer was if it is too expensive then I shouldn't buy!!

Hi,

Thanks for all the help, i just checked our berriewood and their prices are much better, especially if you buy 2 bags at once (down to £37 then), their Pro Plan prices are better too so I think they'll be getting a big order on Friday when I get paid!

Thank again

Hi give these a try http://www.seapets.co.uk/products/dog-supplies/dog-food/complete-dog-foods/premium-complete-dog-food/royal-canin-dog-food/  i just bought a 15kg bag of giant puppy for £39.00 with free delivery which i think is a very good price.

I took all mine off Royal Canin as they appear to have bumped their prices up last year something extortionate!!

Try google's shopping tab, then change the display to 'show cheapest first' :)

We can do 2 bags of Maxi Adult at £80 with free 48-hour delivery, or RC German Shepherd is £78 for 2 bags.

Royal Canin dog food

Hope this helps,

Neil.

The one thing that saves me money with RC atm is it always seems to be on bogoff at PaH.
- By mcmanigan773 [gb] Date 24.01.11 20:11 UTC
The last lot i got was from pets at home and was buy 1 get 1 half price but we are on the second bag now. Think ill try berriewood, they are 2 bags for 74.54 and with 2 bags of Pro plan at 63 they only charge 4.99 to deliver the lot which is very reasonable!

Not just me then!

I too got the attitude, well if you can't afford it!  We can't be the only 2 customers that they have lost due to a total lack of customer service training.

>We can't be the only 2 customers that they have lost due to a total lack of customer service training

If you can spare the time do make the effort to write to a senior manager to explain how their lack of service (and price) has affected your decision to buy elsewhere.  Speaking as one who was on the other side of the debate for a long time most companies are actually quite pleased to receive compaints, not for their own sake but for the fact that, at least, it gives them a chance to do something about it.  If customers simply vote with their feet then the company loses the chance to put things right.  Also it's fair to say that some staff just aren't suited to a 'customer facing' service role and letters of complaint do help managers to move them along!

Got to be worth a try - you may not get any feedback but poor customer service just isn't acceptable :)

I've been buying mine 2 at a time from Zooplus and paying just under £75 (free p&p) for the 2.
- By JeanSW Date 26.01.11 23:33 UTC
I just checked, and for the mini junior it is £39.99 for a 8.5kg  gulp!
- By Jaspersmum [gb] Date 27.01.11 07:24 UTC
I haven't been for a while but our local cash & carry (Batleys) had the Royal Canin at good price if you have someone with a business card to get in.  They just didn't have the one I use but sure they had the "Junior" and some smaller "sensible"
