Topic Dog Boards / General / Q about raised dog beds
- By agilabs Date 21.01.11 13:16 UTC
I have been looking for new proper beds for my crew now I have space ( currently mostly on the sofa plus a few mats)  I was thinking of the traditional plastic beds that are slightly raised from the ground originally as the mats get wet if directly on the floor. Then I found the Original raised pet beds. ( they're under this name on the agility warehouse, I cant do links I'm afraid) They look to me a bit like a camp bed, metal legs and stretched canvas. Has anyone tried these, do the dogs like them? And is the coolaroo cheaper version any different? they aslo have both mesh and solid covers, any thoughts?
My old dog doesn't like anything moving under her feet so they wouldn't do if they wobble either.
Thanks in advance, I hope somebody's heard of them because I've never come across them before.

I used to have a similar sounding dogbed years ago, and it lasted many years; my dog loved it.

I've got the Original raised pet beds and my dogs love them, but only with a bit of vetbed on top, which suits me fine. Easy to keep clean so don't smell "doggie". I've got the mesh covers. They don't wobble (unless you put them on a very uneven floor of course).

think this might work as a link....possibly! probably be a cut and paste.

this is the general principle, there seem to be a few variations but this is a lot more reasonably priced I think.

thanks, good to hear that the dogs actually like it!(was it the coolaroo that you have for your dog or a different brand? I really like the idea of these as my dogs live on a farm and are often damp and grubby even after cleaning, I think as I have seen a lot of positive reviews on websites too that I'll buy one and see if they like it. If they don't then at least I wont have 4!
