Hi
I have a bitch she is 4 and spayed, she is my 1st bitch and I think she might have cystitis but not 100%
last night I went to let her out for a wee, stood at the back door (she is not find of going out in the dark to go to to the toilet, spent most of her life in kennels and really loves the indoor life!)
well as I was stood saying "out you go for wee weed" she went there and then on the mat, a normal sized wee I'd say.
Cleared it up and thought oh well one off etc, this morning she wouldn't go fir a wee in the garden, normally she's in the kitchen getting excited about breakfast but she skulked off by the front door peering out. When she came to the bowl didn't look that interested took a mouthful and wondered off with it (she is a v good eater, so this is really unusual) she did eat it but not with normal gusto
still wouldn't wee in garden and kept wandering round the house pacing about, feeling uncomfortable??
thought I really need to make you go otherwise she might go in the house again as I'm out this morning
tookher out the front took 20 mins she did a poo and finally a wee, I crouched on the floor to see how much, it was on gravel so couldn't say for definite but seemed like only a small amount
will see what she's like at lunchtime but would you say this sounds like cystitis at all
apologies for the massive essay LOL
Thank you
vicki
took her out the front, too

I would say it sounds like a urine infection, my girl was the same just before Xmas, went to the vets with a sample and they confirmed it and gave her a course of antibiotics. I would suggest a phone call to your vets. Hope she feels better soon.

Oooh Thanks for reminding me, tested the wee loads of protein and high ph, specfic gravity was very concentrated so that's good, spoke to vet who put up 5 days of noroclav, she does seem a bit brighter now
thanks again :0)
