initial thing to get things under control would be chicken and rice for a few days, then i personally would introduce him to raw feeding, starting with tripe

When any of mine are like this I use Canikur tablets , you can get them from the vets or buy online without a prescription. Also glucose water to keep hydrated. And as Mandy said small amounts of bland food like chicken and rice.

Assuming that this isn't a baby puppy, and that they know their dog and aren't the panicking type, if they are worried that this isn't just a simple tummy bug, then another visit to the vets might put their minds at rest ;) but I'm assuming that the vet checked temperature, dehydration  etc?

If it has just started, then 24 hours without food on glucose and water can help to rest the Digestive system and the dog, there's no point in feeding a dog if they are just throwing it back up, it just adds to the strain.  Once the dog has fasted for 24 hours a little chicken stock could be tried and if that stays down, a bland diet of  small amounts of well boiled rice with either cooked chicken meat or white fish and with a little Bio yoghurt can help to get things back to normal.  It's important that they keep drinking so they don't get dehydrated, food can wait a day or so ;)
