Topic Dog Boards / Showing / crufts - online entry
- By Dill [gb] Date 14.01.11 20:37 UTC
Well having a really bad cold means that I've just remembered to enter

have gone through the whole thing, but am I entered??

The message was that the entry was not accepted :(  everything was ok until the NETcheX bank thing which ALWAYS gives us trouble.   I've lost count ofg the number of times we've filled that in and it NEVER accepts or works

So, I restarted the computer.  Found the website, logged in, and checked my entry and it's there - PGB.   But not had an email yet

So am I entered or not?   Can't afford to enter twice :(       How long should I wait for an email ?

ARRRRGGGGHHH!!!!!!!!!
- By Brainless [gb] Date 14.01.11 20:41 UTC
I sent mine in the post, object to the extra £1 admin charge.
- By Boody Date 14.01.11 20:42 UTC
Is there a option in the "your Entry" section to resend email for each show enter?
- By ridgielover Date 14.01.11 20:46 UTC
I used to get fed up about the admin charge but it saves the cost of a stamp and the effort (and petrol!) of getting to a post office to get a certificate of posting so now I don't worry :)
- By Justine [gb] Date 14.01.11 20:51 UTC
I entered on line last night and got the usual confirmation email almost immediately so if you haven't had that, I'd give them a ring to make sure they have your entry :)
- By Dill [gb] Date 14.01.11 21:28 UTC
I'm sick of Fosse Data, this happens every time we use it.    If it wasn't so late I'd have sent off a paper entry :(

Don't have this trouble with  Higham Press online entries - if you're entered it tells you.

What I don't understand is the Netbanx security part, you can go right through everything and then fail because their useless form won't work - we have trouble with this on other sites too :(  - usually the payment goes through anyway and is clear to see, but not on Fosse Data

If I had a voice I'd tell them what I thought of them

Entry still not going through.

I'm beginning to think maybe I'd be better off forgetting about showing - only got to half the shows entered last year because of seasons and breaking my wrist :(  that's far too much money to be throwing away at the moment.

I enetered online on Wednesday and received my confirmation email immediately.  I am know having to pluck up the courage to enter National Terrier on CID which is a totally different story and have not yet been able to complete an entry without having to ring them for something or another.
- By dogs a babe Date 14.01.11 21:55 UTC
Ditto Dill

I dithered and left it waaay too long before entering.  I went through the entire process, entered my card details and then it processed it for a while then   ...went to a blank screen.  I've now either paid twice or not at all

Stupid, damn, ****,   XXZZSS%%$£(  ruddy thing!  I may kick something any second now .
- By rachelsetters Date 14.01.11 21:57 UTC
I entered this morning no problems - got email straight away - they were open til 7pm tonight and will be monitoring emails so maybe send them an email?
- By ClaireyS Date 14.01.11 22:05 UTC
lol I left it until the last minute too, entered this morning, no problems ..... thankfully !!
- By biffsmum [gb] Date 14.01.11 23:02 UTC
I've found that I can't enter using our main PC as we use Firefox, luckily I have a laptop that uses Internet Explorer so use that for entries with Fosse.

>will be monitoring emails so maybe send them an email?

Well they might have already heard the yelling!!  Yes I took screen shots and emailed them to prove I had completed the entry, and to show the 'error' pages

****news update: just as I was typing this I received a reply to my email from Fosse, a payment confirmation, and an entry confirmation.  I didn't however get any 'on screen' confirmation so I hope they haven't processed all 5 of my attempts!!

Thanks for all the replies xx

I've found that I can't enter using our main PC as we use Firefox,

Odd, I use Firefox and I've never had a problem entering any show online with either Fosse or Higham. Did Crufts online a couple of weeks ago and after that an open show also with Fosse.
- By vanna [gb] Date 14.01.11 23:11 UTC
Glad someone else had problems, our pc was  broken so entered online at a friends house,I forgot you needed kc number so had to trail back home for it,finally got to card details  processed it and it then did the same as dogs a babe, screen went blank for ages in the end I rang them and was told to press F5 nothing! try again he said nothing still blank screen, finally just as he was going to take payment over the phone it worked,I did get a conformation e-mail back straight away and would be worried if I had not received one.

Well after almost 2 HOURS of trying !!!   and several calls to the security company....

our entry went through.

entering online is supposed to be easier - so why is it so difficult?

Wonder what our chances are of actually getting there?

Just thought - haven't received a confirmation e-mail from Fosse, but have one from netbanx confirming transaction.   Have checked on the Fosse page and our entry is now listed on 'My Completed Shows' page which I have printed out.
- By harkback Date 15.01.11 06:15 UTC
Take your print out to Cruft with you.  Happend to a friend one year, they printed it out as they never got passes beforehand and had to go to the KC desk first thing for ring numbers.  Fossedata denied the entry even though the print out at the time showed they had, they said no email confirmation = no entry.
- By perrodeagua [gb] Date 15.01.11 09:49 UTC
I entered yesterday too, was undecided whether to bother and went through fine.
- By tigran [gb] Date 15.01.11 12:02 UTC
I didn't receive a confirmation email, which meant according to Fosse Data that my entry had not been accepted. So sent them an email and they told me to go back on the site and click on email and straight away I got the confirmation email.

- By Boody Date 15.01.11 12:51 UTC
Yea  there is a option in my entry to resend email.
- By Dill [gb] Date 15.01.11 18:54 UTC
Tigran   :-D :-D

Many thanks for that - I still hadn't received an email and didn't know how long to wait, assuming no-one would be working over the weekend.

I followed your instructions and the email is in my hand - all printed out :-D

Brain still not working so I didn't see the buttons to click to see the full entry form and get the email resent - Doh!

Looks like we're going to Crufts - on the Saturday   I must be mad :-D
- By tigran [gb] Date 15.01.11 20:34 UTC
Glad it worked.
- By Reikiangel [gb] Date 16.01.11 17:53 UTC
The same thing happened to me.

Still no e-mail here either, but checked with the bank and payment taken.

Might still ring fossedata to be on the safe side in the morning.

We entered on the 14th about 10pm'ish, thought that might have been the problem.  Guess not.
- By Dill [gb] Date 16.01.11 18:29 UTC
If you follow the instructions from Tigran, you should get an email confirming your entry - it's worth a try ;)

on the bottom of the page "My completed entries" there should be an email button - that's the one I used :)
- By Brainless [gb] Date 16.01.11 19:36 UTC
see you there, just taking the one bitch this year.
- By Dill [gb] Date 17.01.11 10:50 UTC
I hope so.

I came looking for you but couldn't find you one year, can't remember which one.  Not last year as we didn't get there, my bitch had tummy trouble - just for the day :(  and the year before I had 2 bitches with me so probably the year before that.

Will look for you again in March :)    Would be lovely to put a face to the name :)
- By Brainless [gb] Date 17.01.11 21:20 UTC
Well will be in hall 5 at the start of the row of benching with surname starting B.
- By Dill [gb] Date 17.01.11 22:36 UTC
LOL I'll be the very short Dawn French look-alike with the small grey dog trying to love everything and everyone in sight :-D
- By Brainless [gb] Date 17.01.11 23:53 UTC
Trouble is the security folks won't let you walk across the square from hall five to hall one.

Pain to have to walk all the way THOUGH the crowded show.
- By Dill [gb] Date 18.01.11 03:17 UTC
I seem to remember taking a shortcut outside???   I'm good at fluttering but I think I threatened to throw up, it was so stifling I must have looked the part :-D    One thing about a Bedlington, you can pick em up if the going gets tough LOL
- By Silver [gb] Date 18.01.11 09:19 UTC

> Trouble is the security folks won't let you walk across the square from hall five to hall one.

You can without a dog :) I do it multiple times every year....but no, they won't let you if you have a dog with you, so that's only any use if you have someone to leave the dog with.
- By joec [gb] Date 18.01.11 12:56 UTC
I'm hoping I can cut through as I have two in hall 5 and 1 in hall 2(I am leaving her with her breeder) makes it much easier when you are rushing for classes.
