hello,

I am new to this site.  I have a rigdeback I would like to show.  She is still a puppy and I'd like to socialise her and myself to this activity.  I know nothing about showing so the class would be for the two us to learn together.

I looked for local groups and thought I had found a very local one - that being the West Riding Rincraft Society based in Bradford.  I've tried to contact this group several different ways but haven't received a reply.  I even went to the venue (empty).  I just wondered if this group was still running?

If it's not, does anyone know of any local ones or any that run at weekends.

Hi and welcome, pippasun--I go to a ringcraft class at Menston at Royds social club, which runs from 7.30pm every Tuesday. I've tried a few others over the last couple of years, but it's worth an hour's drive to me, I learnt more in a night than I had in two months of sticking with a local club. There are quite a few who come over from Bradford, so that might be worth thinking about. Good luck with your puppy!

Thank you very much for that.  The tricky bit is my partner's working hours and two young children:( That said I will see if we can make that time.  If you see a newbie with a ridgie and both of us looking overwhelmed then please come over and say hello.

:) if you are there you may see another newbie with one or more welshies who would love to say hello! If it helps, there are other children who attend, the social club (so I am told) does great--and very cheap--food and drink and everyone is incredibly helpful. There's a match night once a month which is good fun too.
