i clean at 2 builders merchants in the morning and today when i went to one thats more DIY home stuff there was 2 ladys chatting and one had a little puppy, there seems to be no dog policy at work so some owners bring there dogs in some dont but there has never been a problem befor. anyway a went about sweeping the opersit side of the shop. when i got to the other side i noticed the lady that had been chatting to the puppy owner seemed to be watching me. the puppy owner had left the shop but she hadent. as i went past her she said to me.

"im realy sorry but i have to tell you as i feel so guilty but my friends puppy peed on the floor, im realy sorry."

Now it didnt bother me that the puppy had an acident after all its a puppy but the fact that the owner had just picked up her pup and left when she noticed (thats what her friend told me while i was mopping it up) rather than telling someone. If it had been me i would of told someone and asked if they had a mop i could use to clean it up myself.

I just couldnt beleave it. but it was a longcoat puppy so prehaps she tought i would get a pole and use him to mop it up :D

I would have said something loudly to my friend like 'hey, you'd better ask for a mop, your puppy just had an accident'! :-)

Theres nowt as queer as folk....
i was slightly embarassed when my dog (3 years old at the time) walked into the vets, sniffed around then proceeded to cock his leg right beside the receptionists counter. But he's a dog, the vets smelt, its one of those things. I just asked for a cloth etc and cleaned it up. As a pup my dog had a few accidents - thats normal, i just laughed it off and dealt with it. Children and animals have accidents, its par for the course, but really ignorant to walk away from the mess :-(

How rude.

My boy cocked his leg against the vet reception couter too, I asked for a cloth and they just laughed and said don't worry, we'll get it.  He pee'd in the porta kabin at work once too, it happens!  As an owner I feel it my responsibilty to clean up after my dogs WHEREVER they are.  Guess some people dont!

Another vet receptionist pee fiend here, I just aplogise and clean it up.
I would not leave anyone to clean up after my two accidents happen!!!

As you say...some people...puppy accidents and vet peeing I can cope with but it is very rude to walk off and not tell someone...talking about some folks habits you should see what some of 'em do in the waiting room toilets at work... :0 :0 .
