We saw 3 'shooting stars' in as many minutes while out with the dogs last night.  The first was very bright and clear...one of those ones that lasts so long you have time to point it out to someone else and they see it too.  The other 2 were much briefer but we were both watching by then.  Love seeing them.

Like the prof said, nowt sinister about this, just an astrophysical phenemon.

Hmm - the main problem here - as far as I can see - is that the two parties have a 'shared' garden. Should never have got as far as getting to court - but these neighbour things often escalate to a silly level. It was probably not the best thing for the woman get a GSD pup in the circumstances - but she doesn't sound like the sort of woman who would be sensible :(

I was more interested in the woman's behaviour in court really - she obviously has a problem :(

Regardless who was right or wrong her standing as a judge should have made her respect the courts decision and not react the way she did even if she was 'stressed' wow i get stressed going to my mother in laws but i don't resort to telling them to f*** off lmao

Agree with other posts, but what really got me and call me old fashioned was a judge chewing gum in court who has to be asked to stop!

Very strange behaviour for a judge.  With regard to having a dog and a shared garden I would think that is very difficult to manage unless you keep the dog on a lead all the time or have great doggy relationships with your neighbours. Cant say I would attempt it and I have great neighbours but not doggy ones.

Can't believe any twenty year old would make such a fuss about being bitten by a puppy? I think this had more to do with a neighbour dispute and is a complete and utter waste of taxpayer's money! Mind you I would hate to live next door to such an unpleasant person (the 'judge') - but maybe they all deserve each other :-D

A 7 month GSD is a powerful dog so a real bite could well hurt, IMO as no treatment was needed the dog was probably playing tuggy with the tracksuit and nipped the son, some adolescent GSD's are full on and very rough when in play mode so for someone who did not know how to handle her, I guess it could well be frightening.

The judges behaviour is appauling, in court and at home, I would never push my dog on someone who was not keen, the dog should be segregated and respect should be given to the neighbours, the fact that she does not understand that, makes her unfit IMO to view any side but her own as a judge.

I agree it should never have got to court, common sense should have sorted it out. Feel sorry for the GSD with such an irrational owner, can see more trouble ahead for dog walkers etc with that attitude, I hope that she will protect her dogs welfare and not allow her to run wild.

Agree totally with this.

Also it seems the owner did offer to put a fence up but the neighbours declined.

If a gsd bites with intent, believe me- he would have needed hospital treatment!!

Just so that you're not left feeling alone and foolish, I liked the shooting star story better and was highly jealous that you have obviously been able to see some of the Geminid meteor shower. An event I was unable to see as about 2 hours before it was visible the sky went from crystal clear to thick cloud :-(
