I am very unsure how to go about this, trying to get my male english bulldog's pedigree paperwork. I don't know the breeder's name nor location, and the AKC told me that I have to contact the breeder in order to register him because he was never registered through the AKC. I definately thought that he was, but by speaking with the customer service he was never registered and I need to contact the breeder. If anyone can help me to guide me to retrieve his paperwork without knowing the breeder's information, or get new paperwork, considering as of now the paperwork is lost. Please someone help me ASAP, thank you. My e-mail is krazihippiekillz@aol.com.

I'm assuming you're in the US; we probably won't be able to help you much because this is a UK-based site. Did you buy him from a pet shop rather than from his breeder (as is usual over here)?

Goodness me not easy you will have to trace it backwards starting with where he was bought if it was not the breeder and try to find the breeder that way. If you bought from a pet show they must keep records so depending how old your dog is they may well be able to help but I doubt they are under any obligation to do so.

Don't know what the AKC rules are but in the UK you can't register a pup unless the parents were registered so if you do find the breeder I hope that your pup will fulfil any other requirements.
