We have 2 3 day old pups on the ground, already lost one :(
Vets say they can not do anything more than give antibiotic injection and liquid under the skin.
They also advise to keep the puppies on the mum for as long as they suckle (which they will stop doing if they follow the one we already lost)and then go on to formula.
I suppose I'm just after any ideas or experiences people have and if there is anything more that can be done than watch them waste away!!!
We lost the first one on Thursday and one has now come down with it, I assume the other one will follow as it is obviously a bug of somekind.
Mum had to have a ceacarian and also has  runny tummy if that makes a difference.

I had a similar situation with my second litter, lost first one (Vet refused to come out)then the second pup just before the vet agreed to see us at morning surgery, with remaining 4 week and floppy.

We were given liquid synolux to dose the puppies with for 5 days as well as Synolux for the bitch and the 4 remaining pups went from strength to strength within a couple of hours of first AB's.

Plenty of liquids for Mum will not only aid milk production but help to flush bugs out of the system.

So sorry to read this.  I thought we were going to lose one of our pups, she was also put on liquid synulox and has really picked up.

The pups have had antibiotic injection and will start liquid if we still have her tomorrow.
She has been doing ok, the poop has now turned green tho and is very watery :(
Still suckling from the mother which is good...
I think we will have a fight on our hands tonight :(

Still here and the poop has started to turn more solid :) :) still green but has a grainy texture to it opposed to water...
So feeling quite a lot more hopeful for her.
She did go through floppy period in the middle of the night when the poop was just leaking out of her but is now full of beams and eating like there is no tomorrow. and seems much more comfortable in herself as she seemed to have quite a belly ache after each feed and would cry and wriggle loads.
So I'm pleased so far as we lost the other girl during the floppy period...

I'm pretty tired as have had quite a little sleep since Wednesday first up with C section bitch, then fighting for the life of the baby we lost and now had +24h nursing with the second girl to keep her going...
Sleeping for less than an hour at the time in the box in between the feeds really does not cut it, but my other half was too afraid to feed the baby when it was unwell as the one we lost we lost when it was really floppy and unwell and she brought some milk up and pulled it in its lungs and drowned :(.

They are now 5 days old :) :)

Hope they've all turned a corner :) We had a similiar crisis when our bitch caught a bug and of course she passed it to the pups. She was treated with antibiotics and the pups had synulox liquid when they caught it, one by one. It was a nightmare but they all pulled through. Seedy poop in pups is quite normal, I think its milk curds.
